tres cositas

From latimes.com: (Cristobal Saavedra / EPA / February 27, 2010) A couple look at the debris of their house in Valparaiso, Chile.
1. Click here to look at the aftermath of the Chilean earthquake. I’m so grateful all of my friends down there are okay. It didn’t hit Valpo or Vina as hard as it did more southern parts.

Pelluhue, a tourist town, is flooded from the earthquake that struck Chile. Taken from nytimes.com. Roberto Candia/Associated Press
2. Tuscaloosa locals – just thought I’d point out for those who didn’t know that the Crimson Ride bus drivers will go on strike starting tomorrow. Those not familiar with the issue, see The Tuscaloosa News.
3. Finally, take a look at what The Anniston Star has posted so far of our Wellborn stories. See my little story on the Haynes family.
That’s all. Never do I have time these days to write. I’m finishing up an annotated bibliography for my research paper about news coverage of minorities.
Oh but on a last note, I often find that as I drive long distance from place to place, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude to the Lord for giving me such an exciting life. When I was, let’s say 17, I never pictured my 22-year-old self driving past fields and rural homes in Mississippi and listening to sweet Southern music and watching an majestic sunset in my rear view mirror. God is so good.
Thanks so much for blessing us with your “last note”.
