About
cactus: The first memories of my childhood. We lived on a farm in Agua Dulce, California, and we had beautiful cactus plants framing our driveway. I crave that warm, deserty California air every day.
kudzu: Now I live in Birmingham, Alabama, and kudzu vines drapes over trees as far as the eye can see. I don’t think most Southerners are too fond of it. But I have found it breathtaking since the first time I saw it.

I am a writer. I am currently the assistant editor for Phyllis Hoffman Celebrate, a party-planning and entertaining magazine. I’m learning about food, food writing, photography, and photo styling.
This blog is about things I love in life: family, writing, storytelling, food, and the home. I celebrate where I come from, and I’ve fallen in love with where I live. I praise God for His blessings. I praise Him for my salvation and for the life I’m living.
