About
cactus: The first memories of my childhood. We lived on a farm in Agua Dulce, California, and we had beautiful cactus plants framing our driveway. I crave that warm, deserty California air every day.
kudzu: Now I live in Northport, Alabama, and kudzu vines drapes over trees as far as the eye can see. I don’t think most Southerners are too fond of it. But I have found it breathtaking since the first time I saw it.
I am a writer, a story-teller. I am the assistant editor for Phyllis Hoffman Celebrate, a party-planning and entertaining magazine. Since I’ve had this job, I’ve learned so much about food, writing, photography, photo styling, oh, and party planning and entertaining. I love it.
I am married to the most wonderful man. We have a German shorthaired pointer named Leroy.
This blog documents the things I love in this life: family, writing, food, interesting people, Southern culture, and home sweet home. I celebrate where I come from, and I’ve fallen in love with where I live. I praise God for His blessings. I praise Him for my salvation and for the life I’ve been given.
